Fees & Insurance

Serenity Counseling Co work hard and flexibly to make counseling affordable. We are in-network with Tricare, Aetna, ValueOptions, Military One Source, ValueOptions Commercial Non HMO, and Emblem Health Non HMO. We also have flexible self-payment options below. Before you decide which option is best, you may want to consider the following:

INSURANCE SELF-PAY
Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to pay your claim. This becomes a pre-existing condition for life No diagnosis is filed.
Insurance companies can limit your number of sessions. The length of your therapy is based on your unique needs and goals; not determined by the insurance company.
Once a claim leaves our office to be paid by the insurance company, an average of 14-17 other people handle your confidential information in order to process and pay the claim. Your confidentiality is assured.
Annual deductibles can require you to pay thousands before your benefits kick in. There is no guarantee that your deductible will be met before the counseling ends. The insurance company still has a diagnosis on file, even if they've paid nothing toward your care. We offer a discount for the advance payment of 10 or more visits. Over time, this can be less expensive than your deductible and co-payment.
Payment plans are available with a current credit card on file. This eliminates the need to make copayments at every appointment, and instead allows you to make an affordable auto-draft payment on the day(s) of the month that work best for you.

SELF PAY
Remember, when you privately pay for your counseling, no diagnosis is required and your confidentiality is assured.
